Book Review: Charlotte Walsh Likes To Win by Jo Piazza

Let’s be honest, who doesn’t like to win? Admittedly, I have been a bit competitive my entire life. Any other Type A personality perfectionists out there? Thus, when Charlotte Walsh Likes To Win by Jo Piazza finally became available to me through my library I was thrilled!

This is a fun read. Charlotte Walsh is a rockstar! She is the COO of a mega tech company, best-selling author, wife, mom of three and running for U.S. Senate in her home state of Pennsylvania! Charlotte Walsh is also human, her life if not perfect, and that makes her an endearing character that you want to read more about and cheer for.

Throughout the story, Charlotte deals with infidelity, infertility, sexism, family drama in the form of mental illness, alcoholism, and drug abuse.

Charlotte and her dashing and brilliant husband Max move their family from the comforts of their life in California’s Silicon Valley to their hometown of Elk Hollow, Pennsylvania. A working-class town that both Charlotte and Max could not wait to leave after high school. They move into Charlotte’s childhood home, sans nannies and household help. She does this all while holding her own as a first-time candidate in one of the most hotly contested battles for Senate of 2018. She tries to run a clean race but can she?

Charlotte also has a devastating secret. One that could upend her entire world. When the 24-hour news cycle is investigating her every move, can she keep it from becoming public?

This is a must-read. I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5.
